14 things Mets fans can be excited about this year
So, at this point in time, 2013 looks like a throwaway season. We traded our beloved 20-game-winning 80 mph knuckleballer, we blatantly don’t have an outfield, and there are holes in to fill in bullpen. Tickets are too expensive and the Wilpons are predictably still stingy as hell. The stupid Nats and Braves are still really good teams which blows for us.
We’ve been told to look forward to the future season after season, and it hasn’t really gotten us anywhere. And I’m not saying I’m giving up on ‘13 the way most smart Mets fans have. I still have hope, as I always do from February 15th right up until the day we clinch 4th place. But in case you get caught up in the fact that analysts are predicting the Mets won’t win 70 games next season, here are some bright spots for the upcoming year.
